Buying/renting my 1st Cello I need advice.

I'm a beginner looking to buy/rent cello. I've played piano many years and have piano hands. As for price I'm not sure this my first time buying Cello and chose rent one before buying. I'm not sure what brands look at I'm just looking for reqular cello to write classical music with. but don't need a beginner one or knck off toy one.

Thanks

I suggest that you rent one as cheaply as possible for a month... learning to play Cello can be a brutal experience. You may love it or you may find that you do not really want to own one.

That what Im going do but need know were to look. Guitar center music 123, I'm not sure about them.
Is there any music stores that carry String instruments for classical. Though sounds dumb to ask what gear made for classical hip hop etc. But I know acoustic instruments can be tune for todays music or digital instruments can tune sample for todays music. Yamaha is made for pop jazz sense got bright pianos, sop that why I'm concern.

Often times a town will have rental company that specializes in servicing the area schools. They might be off the radar compared to a guitar store or piano store but if you ask around your local area you might find it's easy.

There is also the possibility that some person has one in a closet... you may not know it if you don't ask around.

I just saw that you live near Houston... I'm sure you'll find that there are several rental houses with student cellos.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy it.

    best regards,

I see cellos go across Craigslist fairly frequently, so you may be able to pick one up for a reasonable price there.  I used to play the cello, and it is a beautiful instrument.  Good luck!

This one seems better http://www.saferwholesale.com/product-p/cco-200%20handmade%20german%20cello.htm?Click=35179&gclid=CNrC19_AibUCFQinPAod3z0ABA This German brand think which heard is one the best.

I look at craigslist not much selection. couple $250 - $3000.
