BEATSCAPE Recording Issue

Has anyone else seen this issue with Beatscape? I am using Sonar Producer 8.5. Sometimes I do this and everything works fine and other times I get this glitch. I insert Beatscape. Dialogue box comes up and I CHECK - Simple Instrument Track, Synth Track Folder and Enable Midi Output. I load up a few pads. Arm the track and push record. Sometimes everything works fine and I get my track. Other times the track will not start recording right away when I trigger the first pad, but it will begin to record after I trigger a second pad and all subsequent pads until I stop it. What would delay the beginning of the recording? Am I missing a step? Again, sometimes this process works just fine.
