Creating A Master Bus

Since I've not found any way to create a master bus, I came here to ask how it's done. If I accidently delete my master bus, how do I create a new one? Since I'm here, is an Aux track the same as a bus? If not, how do I create one? Thanks!!

Well ... if you accidentally delete it, you can un-delete it by by hitting Ctrl and Z.

If you've made a lot of changes to your project after deleting the bus or saved the project without it and reopened it and it's gone for good ... you just right click in the bus area and select 'Insert Stereo Bus' then rename it Master.

There is no such thing as a magical 'Master' bus ... you just create a bus, name it Master, and send all your other buses to it.

Insert buss from the right click in the buss pane.  Name it master. Set it as the default buss.

You can select new bus as the output to a any audio track. You can right click any bus and set as default output bus. Then, any new tracks will automatically output to that master bus.

And if you do as above, and then later accidentally delete it, the file will just reset the "things" (tracks & busses) that were previously sent to it), to either your main hardware outs, or (sometimes) to another buss. Just re-add the Master bus again, and re-point everything to it, and you are back in business again. So deleting it by accident doesn't do any major damage. Just costs you a minute or two to re-configure bus routings.

Thanks for the help. I do recall making a bus and calling it Master but had forgotten. Thanks for the reminders!
