Rachel Flowers???

AMAZING, blind girl gets to play Keith Emerson' modular Moog synth. This is one of the most jaw dropping videos I have ever seen. She plays Trilogy in this vid. There is another of Tarkus... I am blown away.

You can also type "[" then "url=" then insert the link, then a "]" then add a comment (if you want) and close the whole thing with a "[" then "/url" and a final "]"

eh... I wish the forum would just work. Really, there is no excuse. I stil cannot change my avatar, I updated JAva... no help. Now there is this and earlier I got a 500 error when trying to send a PM.

I don't work... even crummy little forums are better than this software.

    Pfffft!!!

Thanks for the heads up.  I had never heard of her.  I was even more impressed with her 21+ minute rendition of Tarkus:

Absolutely amazing technique.  What was really great was the way she was so obviously stoked at the end of the performance.  Literally brought tears to my eyes.  What a remarkable young woman!

Julien, it seems that PM's still get through even though an error message appears.

This is one of the things I like the best about the Coffee House. Fellow members sharing these 'finds' with us.  Thanks.

She is quite incredible. Comments made on the videos pretty much sums it up.

Anyone know her age? She looks young.

And anybody know what the app is on the tablet (iPad?) to the left of the Hammond?

One source on the web indicates that she just turned 19 last Dec.

Yeah, I thought she was amazing and that some would really like it. It reminds me of those people in high school who could play guitar in 6 months better than I will ever be able to play... same with painting, some people are just plain gifted. Practice and lessons help but there are some people who defy all the laws of normalcy... she is one I think.

My first thought was... I should blind myself, then I thought.. "no".

I'd like to see a picture of that synth wall!  (To the left of the organ.)

I would have to say that she listened to the original before performing her cover rendition.

So you're sure she wasn't reading the sheet music in braile while performing?

Some people here do covers without actually listening to the original.
