X2: Bouncing MIDI clips. Anything I should watch out for?

So I've been putting together a song structure using PRV and my controller for some drums and a doubled up synth bass track. Now I've got a bunch of clips (some loop enabled, some not... it's kind of a mess) and they're taking up a bunch of lanes and yadda yadda. I want all those MIDI clips to turn into one long clip for each track.

I'm going to select each track (and therefore all it's takes) and Right Click > Bounce to Clip(s). I just tried it on my drum track and it seems to have worked. I just want to ask you guys if there are any quirks or things I may be overlooking when performing this process as it is my first time doing it. It seems fairly straightforward and easy... which worries me. Not used to things being easy. lol

I've done a Save As for this step so I can always go back but I'm just gonna go ahead and do it for now. I'll take a close look at any tips afterward as they get posted.

Thanks and I hope you all had a great weekend. Cheers.

That's pretty much all there is to it. Any edits you've done or groove clips you've created will be permanently converted to one long MIDI clip. The only thing that gets deleted is any data in a clip that's been slip-edited. So if you've dragged the edge of a clip to hide some of the MIDI notes (probably because you don't need them), bouncing will permanently erase those notes.

Right on, Scott. Yeah it worked simply and elegantly. Strikes me that the folks who miss the Rebuild Layers option could use this creatively as a workaround. I know it's not exactly the same thing but it sure cleaned up my lanes pretty darned quick. Cheers.
