Did anyone buy LuSH-101 from D-16

I was just wondering if anyone purchased this and if yes, what do you think of it.
It's on sale at Audio Deluxe, but having listened to the demos I can't say I was that impressed  - after all the hype I really expected something, how can I say, more!
Love to hear some first hand experiences etc

I'd recommend that the best way to audition Lush-101 is to not play through the presets.  Instead, load the default patch and listen to the single layer presets alone with no effects.  There's a proper term for "single layer presets" but I don't recall what it is.  The point is that when you hear what great sounds (IMO) a single layer can make, it will give you an idea of the possibilities in this thing.

You will need a fairly powerful machine.  Those with older computers do not seem to be happy campers.  Also, you need a fairly large monitor due to the generous UI.  The two most common complaints about Lush (other than from those who simply are not impressed by the sound) is the CPU consumption and the UI size.

Thanks interesting - I have a pretty powerful set up and two large monitors so that will be no issue - just not sure its worth purchasing though, even at the sale price,  as it does not seem much different to what I already have - the last synth (soft) I purchased was Diversity, which I REALLY do like - have you tried that one yet? The last Hardware synth I bought was last week when I picked up a Kurzweil 1000 PX Expander (from the '80s) for $40 - and no worries about Software upgrades / no drivers etc...............
    Again Thanks

Do you mean Diversion by any chance?  I've never heard of Diversity.  In any case, I have no experience with either Diversity or Diversion.  But you've made me want to check out Diversion (like I really need yet another synth!).

opps sorry yes I did mean Diversion........and I do like this - to my ears it does sound a bit different and I have already used it quite a few times on what we are doing at the moment - again I think you do need a powerful set up but sound wise it is very clean and precise, if that makes any sense??

Well I went ahead and got Lush, I was actually pretty impressed by the sound, and since I don't have Nexus to use anymore, I need some synths...
