Don't forget NOTATION in future versions!!!

Hello,

it is quiete some time ago when we talked here about notation as an important wish for future versions.
So that it won't be forgotten, I thought I bring that wish back to the top!

Please Cakewalk, bring NOTATION in Sonar to another level, maybe pretty much as in Cubase.
For me it's the really last thing missing to put Sonar on the same level as other DAW's.

For example, sometimes I would be nice if you can choose the page(s) to print, because you don't need all
the pages before or you just need some special beats to print, but that's not possible. Or is it?

PLEASE UPDATE NOTATION - it is a wish of many Sonar-users!

How many versions has it been since notation has been around with Cakewalk and how much has it been updated?

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

    Hi,

yes your right. That's because I want to prevent notation to be forgotten.
It is not only a part of music, it is the language of music!

You don't have to sell me on notation. I taught myself to play be reading notation.

There was just a thread on here a few days ago about how dark the future of notation in Cake products is. This subject has not gone away by any means! It goes without saying that the horse is dead at this point. We all keep hoping that one day Cake or Roland will jump on the bus and fix this needed feature rather than keep throwing it' self under the bus by leaving it as a lame afterthought for it's customer's to "just have to deal with it". I am and have been a staunch supporter of Cake for a long time and I can say that right now the notation is the worst I have ever had to deal with. I have Finale, I have Notion, but I don't want to have to jump between two programs just to input and edit notes on a staff. It leaves me wondering how many people who work for Cake or Roland at this point actually have to use the staff view for their own compositions. I would be willing to bet if it slowed their workflow to a crawl as it does for most of us then they might fix it.

Absolutely, go back to quicker input of 8.5 (notation workflow slowed dramatically in X1).    Leave the printable/publishing side of things to purpose-built applications and let us input and edit using dots.

SONAR Platinum rolling updates:  Intel i7 2600k on Gigabyte P67A UD 7: 16GB RAM:  W7 x64 Home Premium.
