MMMBop - 15 years later

Well I still hate the song. But look! They're not toddlers any more, and they can pretty much bash out a tune...

I have nothing but respect for vocals without auto-tune..  And playing in time!!  shucks, at least they are really musicians, who can play as a band...   That says a lot imho...

Besides, "the song is not worse than barbie girl, or toms diner."

No, its not, "Comfortably Numb, or Dust In The Wind."  Still..   Nothing but respect for the fact that they can, "actually play together as a band, without auto-tune, and their voices have ever so slightly deepened."

    Not bad, imho...

    too many lasers...

Yeah but the lead singer still looks like he'd have trouble growing a full beard. So I still have the urge to whale the tar out of them

I dunno..  These people are too, "mr magoo," for me.  They look like they totally forgot to have reckless sex and drugs with their rock stardom..  Scary imho.

The scary thing is they all have kids now. One of them has FOUR.

They used to live together in a loft on Church Street in Tribeca. I found this quote from them in an interview:

“We feel like we earned our stripes surviving a New York winter,” Taylor recalls. “There was a 30- or 40-year blizzard or something!” Zac exclaims. “Literally, we had to stay inside for a week,” Taylor says. “We thought we’d make a fire, but then you’d have to walk five blocks carrying firewood, and by the time you got home your fingers were like the size of a sausage.”

Pansies. There is no other word for them.

Actually not sure if I've ever really heard of them.

The Pansies would be a fun band name, ya?

Could do with a remix though.

Well, y'know, they have that sense of harmony that some brothers do, and it's a heck of a catchy hook, if you're into bubbblegum pop. I've heard a lot, lot worse.

I guess I should have known that SOMEONE already had taken the Pansies name.  Not bad!

I heard this (the original) on the radio the other day and have to say that I had forgotten how much I always liked it to be honest. It's as hooky as hell and a good example of what a pop tune should be imho. The radio DJ mentioned that this clip was doing the rounds and that it was "not quite the same" in a way that suggested it was awful, what with their deep voices an' all,  but I thought they still sounded pretty good tbh.
