I cant move latency slider in 8.5 pe

I,m also getting drop outs and jittery sounds as I scroll thru tracks during play back any thoughts.... BTW my system has been rock solid for years this has just started happening after installing ez drummer I uninstalled ez drummer and still have the problem

    We need to know your system , audio interface , Driver ASIO? the OS and what not to help you. Your question is just a little too general. 
    It helps to narrow things down if you post a full description of what your using.

    win xp 2 firepods chained together asio core 2 quad 4 gigs ram ... also I open a project in 7 pe and the exact same thing happened...jittery sound when scrolling up and down in the track view then the sound cuts out all together until a reboot then problem starts all over

    Usually, if you use ASIO drivers, you don't adjust latency from the "Safe - Fast" slider, but in the ASIO panel. I don't know how many variations there are of the concept, though.

    Put your system specs in the signature, so they'll always be included. You have made two threads about the same problem now. That's always confusing.

    SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
