That warm fuzzy feeling because SONAR is the way it should be
A while back I canned my laptop in favor of a power hungry Win64 desktop to run SONAR because it could run lots of plugs and such. SONAR had done what turned out to be priceless recordings on the laptop on remote gigs and such and I missed that capability. Now I have a nice shiney new laptop and I was wondering about installing X2 on it. I'm the only one who's going to use it and I will NOT be using BOTH at the same time. So I read on the support page...
"If you have a second computer that you use on occasion, such as a personal laptop you use when away from your desktop, you may install the product on to the additional computer. You do not need to register the product again, simply use the same registration code tied to your account that has been generated for your unique serial number. Note that per the EULA, the software must only be running on one computer at a time unless you have purchased an additional license. "
Now I know that's the way it should be - but it gives me a really good feeling to see it is that way. To compare - I just had one software company try to sneak me into a subscription based license by offering a free "upgrade".
