Added a new mic...
A Guage ECM-84. http://www.gauge-usa.com/Gauge_Microphones/Products.html I was well packed, shock mount includedpop filter, zippered case.. I got it for acoustic guitar but will try it on other things.... I want some more Guage mics but I needed this. Yeah, I like cheap mics but then I am an amateur.... what do you want? I hope to use it tomorrow.. (after I clean out the gutters, again). J

I've heard the gauge mics and they compare favorably with mics costing much more.

I will Herb, it was only 84 bucks though and my skills are limited... but I'll do my best! If I feel up to it I will try to record some with it today. The weather changes have my "rheumatism" acting up. There is a really heavy fog here this AM, about as heavy as I have seen here.
What I want to do is a couple of acoustic guitar takes, maybe two different acoustics with two micing positions then perhaps an acoustic track with some Strat over it using an amp and SM-57. If I get that done I'll give you a link. I'll record it dry then maybe try to EQ but will post both.

Interesting. I see a lot of people using these mics these days. Please let us know how you like it - and if you have the time, post some sound examples. It would be interesting to know how it performs. If they're good mics for that price, maybe I'll give my Røde collection some much needed rest every once in a while
