Thanks bro....I *think* I'm safe in my area in South Jersey...at least that's what I'm hoping. It looks like it may just pass me. Thanks for the heads up.

My Mom said she heard on TV that they're calling it a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 and that they've never used a 10 before!  She also said Boston was going to get hit especially hard (she mentioned it because I have a really good friend that lives in Plymouth).

I'm not that worried to be honest. We've had snow storms in New York before and about the worst that happens is the sanitation guys decide to act like a-holes and not shovel the roads because of some beef they have with the city (like a couple of years ago). Snow sucks, but at least it doesn't make power stations explode. Maybe I'll lose a day or two of business. Thanks for the well wishes.

I think the biggest problem will be Boston because they will probably lose power and if they could clear the roads they have nowhere to put the snow. Cash will likely be handy. I could be wrong but better safe than sorry... and our beloved Cake HQ is in Boston.

I hope it isn't as bad as they are predicting.

Was talking to my friend in Plymouth and the power went off and back on four times just while we were on the phone.  He doesn't think it will be anything close to what it's being billed as out here (the "Storm of the Century!").

From what I read, they'll get about as much snow as I did four years ago with only 60 mph winds (we had 80 mph sustained).  *Pfft...*

I just looked out of my window. It's hipster snowball fights as far as the eye can see.

A solid 18+" so far in northern RI with about 8 hrs to go, so I think we'll go well over a couple of feet.
Nowhere near '78 when our area rec'd 54", but this is a good one.

I sure hope the guy across the street - farmer with the nice tractor/plow/backhoe - does the usual swing by to clear the driveway.
I'll throw him double what I usually give him

Whatever Mother Nature decides to do, stay safe out there!

Without people from New York or New Jersey we'd have to start making fun of people in nicer states.

Going by the build up on my air conditioner we've had 4 inches so far in New York. Although when I spoke to my friend in Chelsea earlier he said he'd had 9 inches tonight. Have no idea what he meant by that

I've got about 2 so far here in NJ sharke, but thankfully it appears to have stopped. Winds are kicking up now...whew, we just may have been lucky over here. I knew we'd get at least 2-3 inches. Good luck in NY bro....and to everyone else that is experiencing nasty weather.

Cheers - I have a friend on Nantucket who lost power last night. But here in New York it's been a complete washout. Yesterday: Mayor Bloomberg screaming "ZOMG this is the big one folks, stay indoors." Today: I looked out my window to see bright sunshine and a thin layer of snow.
