It's great to see you and others step out and comment. I think part of the CH getting a bad rap is due to posts being "thrown" there by mods moreso than people meaning anything against the people that frequent there. Let's face it, some of the worst posts that should have been deleted ended up being sent down there. So if you don't frequent there often or at all, it's the forum of lost posts and lost souls....until you really hang there for a bit as a human being instead of a musician or engineer. It may seem to "some" that it's the gutter of the Cake forum...when in reality, it's probably the most genuine forum we have because the people aren't wound up so tight they combust like up here. It sure isn't the people that hang there bringing down the place...well, maybe one...lol....but those people are so cool, half of them I've talked to on the phone. It's HERE we usually get snide remarks and "RTFM" messages....and "you're an idiot because Sonar is golden and your the problem" and people that won't, can't, or aren't able to lead or teach by example other than a few. Even that is getting scarce because trouble makers chase them away from here. Anyway....there are a few good men up here that I'd love to hang out with, but there is an entire family down in the coffee house that I'm happy to call "family". :) -Danny

I'm going with the MKII's. I can get them on Amazon for $105, that's almost $75 bucks less than Sweetwater. Plus I get free 2 Day shipping being signed up with a Prime account. I tell you, that $80 dollar a year fee has more than paid for itself in entertainment and shipping costs. I love Amazon.

What's weird is, there's no info on AKG's web site at all, even in their archives. There was some people complaining on line because they say made in Austria in big bold letters on the sides of the cans, but on the box in fine print it says they are made in china. I guess there's no getting away from it. I see the price went up $2 bucks. Grr. $107 now. I'm actually getting them for free. I have 45,000 points on my credit card that I can cash in for Amazon gift cards. Those points don't transfer point for dollar btw. I accumulated those when I was traveling for work and filling up my gas tank 3 times a day. And those Holiday pies at McDonald's. Damn you Holiday Pie! I'm torn. Those Studio ones and the MKII version both have excellent reviews, and I know you really like the Studio ones. I haven't made up my mind yet. That and my ears are really ringing bad from wearing these crappy ones all day. I'm wondering if this is a good idea. Heh.

I don't have a Roku, but I'm thinking of getting one. I like a lot of the free Prime stuff. We've been watching a lot of older TV series. We bought a cheap little Sony Blu-Ray player and it has the streaming capability on it. It's a nightmare to set up because you have to register each service, Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc etc, and link it to an account you create on Sony's web site. I guess it's so you can just log on from any Sony device and be up and running. It works flawlessly once you get it set up, but you have to have access to a computer, there's no cell phone app, so you gotta fire up your laptop or desktop, create an account, log in, go get the custom code off the blue ray player, enter it online. It's a pain in the ass. I also use my PS3. It was the same deal, because it's a Sony product. Someone was telling me about a USB to HDMI cable you can get for cell phones that will connect them to a TV for streaming also.

I don't have a Roku, but I'm thinking of getting one. Hi Bub,
I was streaming thru Blue Ray, but was never happy with the performance.
I picked up the lower end Roku for $49.00...........................after a week I gave the blue ray players to my kids......The Roku works excellent.
Hi Zungle, I noticed there was a difference just between my PS3 and that little cheap Sony Blu-Ra I have. The Blu-Ray streamed 10 times clearer, which surprised me since the PS3's big deal is being Hi-Def and all that. I was looking at one of those Roku's that allows you to stream your own video's. I have a large collection of DVD's I'm ripping so I can put the actual DVD's in storage. Thanks for the info. Bub.

Back to important things Bub,

you can pick one up if you shop carefully for cheap, LOTS of FREE streaming there, plus the Amazon Prime offerings. I subscribe to Prime, and Am basically cheap, so free is good. Asd i said earlier, Prime Movies are a bit dated, TV shows OK BUT if you dig classic stuff its there all free.
NetFlix is what 8 bucks a month now, IF you watch movies its a good deal. BTW our local BlockBuster is closing, the intraweb killed them.
You have to have a decent internet connection, , I have 3 mb, and depending, sometimes it buffers, sometimes it streams OK. Down here, bandwidth is SOOOO overpriced, so (remember I am cheap) I have to buy what I can just afford... It is DSL, so not the issues with cable providers and chocking.
