Compatibility with Windows 7?

Good day everyone! I'm new to the forum and a newb to the wonderful world of digital recording.

I decided to jump in the deep end (I do have multi-track recording experience, but not computer based - other than being a musician at a session) and purchased from Sweetwater an Allen and Heath Zed 16R which has not arrived yet, which will come packaged with Sonar LE.

I also purchased one of Sweetwater's Creation Station computers. The computer will come loaded with Windows 7 and my concern arises from the fact that the downloaded manual from the Allen and Heath Web site states that LE is compatible with Vista and XP - no mention of 7.
My sales rep assured me that everything will work just fine, but I'm not finding any comfort in his confidence.

What can you tell me that will ease my mind?  Thanks so much - I look forward to contributing to this forum and getting my feet wet with some multitracking!

    Welcome to the forum.
I've read here on these forums that (usually) most things compatible with Vista will be compatible with Win 7.
There is a 'software' link on the A&H website for driver and firmware updates, so you might want to check that out just in case.
I assume there is a FireWire input on that new computer?
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Oh gosh yes! There's all kinds of input ports on this thing! 2 Firewire 400's, 2 USB 3.0's, 6 USB 2.0's. I purposely bought a computer with way more than I need.
In the past, with self contained digital recorders, I'd be trying to track and I'd get delayed because I would need to clear out some memory space in order to continue. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have any interruptions to my work.
Hopefully, once I get everything hooked up, downloaded, and get past the learning curve, I can enjoy creating with the least amount of hassle.

I'm running LE on a Windows 7 64 bit machine - though I seem to have to use 32 bit versions of plugins It does seem to crash more than I would like it to but don't know if that is a conflict between LE and Win 7 or some plugin issues - I was using a demo version of Miroslav from IK and it totally locked the PC on several occasions - so I didn't buy it!
