Downloading Sonarl X1

When I go to my downloads, I have a SONAR X1 part1.exe and a SONAR X! part 2.rar. This seems a bit geeky. If I dl these two, will one run the other properly? I did grab a readme 1st html file, but it did not seem to address this. It all does seem a bit messy and off-hand However...can somebody advice me please? TIA Nick

Yes, the part1.exe looks for and installs the part2.rar

If the part 1 is not corrupted, it will extract part 2 and keep going.

If part 2 is not corrupted. Honestly if something is corrupted all bets are off.

I concur - I only meant that if the first part does not kick off part 2 - if I had to download any 1 part over I would download all parts over.

Yeah, I don't think CW supplied md5 hash values for X1 so there is no way to validate the files prior to running the install process. More geeky stuff to digest. (see what I just did)

Actually, I believe someone posted them on this forum.

OP: Make sure you use a download manager (like Free Download Manager) is you're using IE or, better yet, use Chrome which has a download manager built in.

I would not rely on file integrity information provided by a source other than the vendor. It would be a simple matter generate and publish the hash values based on the files I have but are they the ones currently on the vendors site?

Thanks for the replies guys. These are such huge downloads I wanted to make sure they at least had a chance of working. Downloading as you read. This will be a marathon effort above any others I have done.
