Errr...have they run out of things to sample??

Just seen this on the KVR website:-

Dargalon Instruments Studio has announced Kangling - The Sound of Death for Kontakt 5.
Kangling is a trumpet made from a human thigh-bone and sounds like a mystical horse neighing. Kangling is playing in tantric Buddhist rituals, particularly Chöd.

Don't tell me, it is released on the 1st April................

I think I should have checked out their website before posting. Check out the video for the product they released first:-

I'm sure we could think of a few things still left to be sampled.

Nobody's done fingernails on a chalkboard yet, AFAIK.

How about old man sounds, you know the sounds we 50+ guys make when we sit, stand, bend over or reach for the remote.

How about the Sounds of the Miracle of Birth?

    The Demolition Derby Percussion Set?

Tuned Dog Farts, the perfect accompaniment to the barking dog library.

Maybe celebrity sound bites. Somebody already got sued for sampling James Brown's grunts (jeez, how hard would it have been to put up a mike and go "ugh!"), so why not MIDI-mapped words of wisdom from the likes of Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson (even better! Bart Simpson!) or those "real" New Jersey skanks?

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Hi Bit
Isn't "words of wisdom from the likes of Paris Hilton" an Oxymoron?

We are apparently eating horsemeat by the tonne so it'll give us something to do with the left-over bones.

Psy will bring out a new song and dance craze - Kangling Style.

Now please, I don't think you are taking this seriously at all - it's OBVIOUS if you made your Kangling Instrument from Horse Bone, it would be far far too long to be classed as a Trumpet and therefore you would lose the "quintessential nature" of the recording - I doubt you could ever achieve  the uniqueness of a mystical Horse Neighing, which is of course an absolutely essential tool for all musicians to have in their sonic library.

So can we please keep this discussion serious

I want a sample of Mooch's butt itching.

Not the sound of him scratching, mind you. Just the itching.

I'd pay top dollar for that.

The dollar on top of my (dwindling) stack.

I sampled slapping my gf's ass back in my 20's. I was in that "artist seeking inspiration" phase of my life. With some tuning and compression it made a decent snare.
