Peak and RMS dB meter?

I'm using MC6 to mix an album. I was wondering if MC6 had something similar to what Reaper has, where you play a track through and it display the RMS value and Peak dB values for the Left and Right? Also, is there a "Real Time" frequency display? Basically, a bar graph type EQ display that can be displayed while playing back a track. Thanks.

I don't believe MC6 has a built in bar graph EQ display that gives you real time feedback..... Ozone has something like that ..... it displays the energy in real time across the frequency spectrum.

Have you tried Ozone? if you are mixing an album, you really should try it.

I don't pay much attention to the rms or peak values on meters. I do use the meters mostly to keep the track levels out of the red...that's about the extent of what I use them for.  Use ears for 98% of it. I look at the master bus meter to be sure the mix is balanced. Both sides need to be in the same general area.

I've been doing the same for watching dB levels, just saw the feature that Reaper had and thought it was cool to have statistics for the track. I'll try Ozone. You said "..energy in real time...". Is it one of those goofy wavy-ghostly type displays? Saw that somewhere else and, and thought while it was cool, didn't seem very useful. I'll check it out though. Thanks

MC6 at least has peak meters, I can't remember if it has RMS or not.

    sonar has both.

maybe....  this video shows it as soon as they cut to the screen shot...it's in motion   http://www.youtube.com/wa...ed&v=B-7vqNBKAuU#!

it lets you know where the audio energy is located in the mix.
