2 hard drives

Hello,

I have a new computer with 2 hard drives.  I've never had two before.  How should I divide things up?  Should the soft synths and effects be on one, with Sonar Producer 8.5.3 on the other?  Should the song files be on a different drive than the host software?  What about software that is CPU hungry like Izotope?

Thanks for any help!!!

    Drive 1 - Programs (including soft synths & Fx) & Operating System
    Drive 2 - Cakewalk Projects

    If you intend to run and massive sample streaming libraries, it's a good idea to invest in a 3rd drive and install their content onto this one.

    Drive 1 - Programs (including soft synths, Fx and SONAR) & Operating System
    Drive 2 - Cakewalk Projects (project files + audio)

    - just to clarify

    And don't forget some kind of provision for backups, such as an external USB hard drive.

    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

     I use the data drives on all my computer for my personal files. This way if your"C" drive goes down, OS needs re-installing or is attacked, you only loose what you can re gain off the net or from install disks.

    Main DAW-  (partition main drive)
    HD1 = C 100Gig    OS and Programs
    HD1 = F 850 Gig    Some DATA backups, MP3 and MIDI collection.
    HD 2 = H 900Gig    Main Personal DATA ( CWP all audio )
    HD 3 = G 450 Gig   archives, software, MP3

    Laptop ( Partitioned )
    Drive C = 50 Gigs OS and Programs
    Drive E = 150 Gigs - Data

    Portable Drive = 950 gigs = Back up everything all computers.

    Then I back the DATA drives up to an External drive.

    Some files I toss in Dropbox which is super handy. It will automatically update all computers this way.
