Error message in Sonar X1 playlist

My Tascam US-144mkii interface was becoming finicky, so I replaced it with a Steinberg UR22.  When I open a file in Sonar X1, everything works fine.  But when I open a file from a playlist, I get an error message that reads "Missing MIDI Ports" - "The following MIDI devices could not be found . . . " "Reassign missing MIDI Devices" "Missing devices - TASCAM US-144MKII MIDI  - - Available Devices -- None --"

There is a dropdown arrow where I can assign the UR22, but I get the error message for every song in the playlist.

Anyone know why it Sonar is looking for the old interface only in the playlist?  The Tascam is not connected and not listed in the devices.
