Audiosnap percussion online versus offline

I used audiosnap for a few tweaks on multitrack drums (works great!). Given that the online and offline method are both "percussion" (which seems to sound best), does that mean that the bounced tracks will sound exactly the same as when I am listening, or is the offline "percussion" algorithm an improvement to the online one? It should sound better regardless of which setting you use. The online stuff doesn't sound as good to conserve CPU cycles.

The first time I used AudioSnap, it was on a vocal and it sounded absolutely dreadful - while I was editing it. I aborted that first attempt, thinking something was horribly wrong. But everybody else was loving AS, so I took a leap of faith and went ahead and bounced the track, and was relieved to discover that it then sounded fine. I've since learned to ignore what it sounds like while editing.

It is, however, easy to introduce artifacts with AS if the audio is complex and transients are moved too far. If you find that you need to move a transient more than a quarter note, it's probably better to cut the clip and nudge it rather than stretching it with AudioSnap.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
