CA-2A Install Problem in X1d

I sent a support email a week ago and still haven't heard anything, so I thought I'd try here.

I have Sonar X1d and had the PC-2A Pro Channel module installed. Running Windows 7, 64bit, all patched up.

When I tried to install the CA-2A upgrade, at the end of the install, it tried to reboot my Windows session, for some reason. Then it gave an error (that I don't have with me at the moment). I rebooted and PC-2A is renamed and no longer in Pro Channel. CA-2A is visible in VST list and Pro Channel. However, when I try to use either one, it says (I'm paraphrasing), "CA-2A is not properly installed. Please reinstall...". I've uninstalled it and reinstalled several times and get the exact same sequence of events.

Has anyone else had this happen and, if so, what did you do to correct it? I suppose I could reinstall the PC-2A in the meantime...

Regards,
Dan

from what i know the ca 2a should install over the pc 2a, so all i can recommend is uninstall the pc 2a and ca 2a and reinstall the ca 2a, and see what happens, try deleting the reg files for the pc 2a and ca 2a before reinstalling as well

I haven't tried uninstalling PC-2A yet, I'll give that a go this weekend. I'm still hoping I'll hear from support at some point.

Well, after removing every reference in the registry for "PC2A' and "CA2A", as well as deleting any folders with the same references, I reinstalled and no problems. Very strange. At least it's installed and registered now.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
