Question concerning an error I am getting in Music Creator 2002

An unknown error occurred during processing, possibly caused by an invalid parameter. Then after clicking OK it says that it could not patch the effect. This is any time I try to add the Roland VSC DXI to an audio track. Really odd because in all the years I have had this program I have never seen this issue. I am using Windows XP SP3. Any help would be appreciated.

    Welcoem to the forum.
Perhaps an automatic update did something to your settings. A System Restore might work if that's the case.
Have you added any new programs lately?

Both the program and the OS are old.... and I don't think Microsoft is supporting let alone doing updates to that old OS. I know you can still access the updates on their site (manually) but I doubt if the updates are happening automatically any more on XP.

MC2002 came along during the time I was not involved in music. I got out for a few years between CW8P and MC4.  I have a friend who has MC2 ( I assume that's what you're talking about).

Unfortunately I do not know enough about it to be helpful. It was before my time here.

Surprisingly enough, they are, and more frequently than you might imagine. I have turned of the automatic part, but I always know when they send one.
Even if that's not the case, a system restore can back you out of some other trickery.
System restore won't hurt anything, and there's a good chance it will correct the problem.

ateno...Do you have the same problem if you insert VSC from the toolbar, instead of adding it to the FX bin of an audio track?
Do you have problems with any other DXi's?

Yeah...system restore can be your best friend some times....

I restored my wife's computer just the other night after something glitched bad.
