Soundcard with 4 analogue outputs?

I'm looking for a USB soundcard that has four analogue outputs so that I can remix my old four track (Fostex X15) project through an analogue mixer. Nothing fancy is necessary.Four inputs (so I can get the music off tape and into Sonar) and standard jack connectors and 16 bits will be sufficient. Any advice welcome.

There's no advantage to mixing with an analog mixer and especially in the case of a recording done on a Cassette. You's just be degrading the sound even more. Just get the tracks into Sonar and mix with the software, it will be better quality.

I couldn't find a picture of the back but I do believe I owned a similar model once. Fostex always took shortcuts in design to keep price down. My guess is it only has stereo out and not one for each track. Also there's will be no sync. So you will only need a 2 in 2 out interface.

You'll have to line the 2 tracks pairs up later. Because the Fostex also does not record 4 tracks at once you cannot use the transient spike trick at the beginning.

Thanks for your quick reply. The X15 has 4 lines out. I bought it 30 years ago and have had many happy years recording and mixing in real time with it. The advantage that I seek from a 4 analogue channels out sound card is to have spontaneous real time mixing with manual control over my effects parameters. For example altering delay times and feedback rather than the part real time and part automation/envelope drawing process that I have with Sonar. I have an excellent Edirol UR80 control surface with the two auxiliaries to route to effects buses but without the ability to manually control effects parameters in real time which is something I miss about the old fashioned way of mixing. A 4 channel soundcard will let me do that and, with the 30 year back catalogue saved as WAVE files in Sonar, the X15 can be retired gracefully rather than die from exhaustion. ;~) UPDATE: Purchased a 4 in/out soundcard and I am now, after recording my 30 years of greatest 4 track hits into the computer, am remixing in real time with real time effects control just like in the old days. If you want to know which card I bought, ask me.
