Multiple folder-levels ... or is there another way?

I'd like to see multiple levels of folders in Sonar, aside from the organizational aspect of it.  Unless someone can tell me a better way of doing this:  the current restriction of a single-folder level makes editing difficult across multiple track clips at a point in time.

For example, once I've organized my tracks under separate folders, I'd like to be able to split ALL tracks and a certain point in time and then select all the clips in one go by pressing the track folder view of its clips.  The trouble with a single folder level is that I can only select a subset of the clips.  Sometimes that is fine, but other times I want to select all the clips at that point and it's not possible to do this way.  Instead I have to carefully right-drag across the clips and invariably miss clips or I have so many tracks that it gets unwieldy.

What I end up doing is moving all the tracks into a single folder in order to simplify my editing, and then move all the tracks back into their separate folders.  But if I had multiple levels of folders then this redundant step would not be required.

Would selection groups help? They are great for multiple selection across multiple tracks but it does make working on individual clips a pain so might create as many problems as they solve.

Select clips, right click and select "Create selection group from selected clips" to create a group.

Thanks Karl for the suggestion, but I should have mentioned that I already use the selection group feature as a workaround.  It's not as elegant due to the issues I mentioned above about selecting (sometimes I miss those tiny clips at the boundaries, or there are too many tracks to comfortably select vertically in one go).

I'm thinking that multiple folder levels is a low-hanging fruit feature request (which I have already made) along with other track niceties I'd like that should also be relatively easy to develop: blank tracks (as spacers), comment tracks (to avoid congestion in the markers), alternate MBT tracks (for polyrhythms), etc.  basically none of which would affect the programming of the audio engine or signal path, and all are simply organizational tools.  Here's hoping...
