Wanted to double check on the Pro Channel Pack

The FX that are in this, are not included in the X2 Producer package right?  I looked and didn't see that they were but wanted to double check.  Thinking about purchasing them to round out the collection.  Unless advised otherwise.

No, they are not.  They are well worth it, IMHO.

I managed to buy them all individually during various sales, but they are all excellent.  I think the current price is pretty good for what you get.

I use, and love them all.

No, it is basically the rest of the ssl channel (gate and a track compressor) to add to your ssl bus comp.  Plus the concrete limiter and PC2A (La2a sytle).  All good.  The gate is nice, the ssl track comp OK, I have but haven't used the concrete limiter much (does it come w/ Producer?) since I use Elephant but others have said it was good.  And the Pc2a is very good - a must have if you don't have an optical emulation.

For the whole package it ain't bad.   The only thing is the price - we have gotten the limiter and pc2a for $20 each on specials.  Those are the two best of the bunch.  I don't think I'd pay $120 or so for the gate and track comp - in fact I know I wouldn't.   But you then take a chance on there not being another special on the other two.  Do you feel lucky - well do you?

You'll need a better limiter than Boost 11 IMHO. The Concrete limiter is the only one I've bought, but I would like to have that CA2A.

I just thought, the PC2A has been upgraded to the CA-2A recently.

It may be worth checking with Cake where youstand with upgrading this if you buy the pack.

It only appears to add sidechaining and VST use to the original, but some users have reported more.

It was very little to upgrade when the CA-2A came out, I'm not sure what it is now.

Having said that, I was VERY happy with the PC2A, just thought that I should point this out.

None of the plugins in the bundle come with X2 Producer. I bought them like jb101 did, when each one went on sale. It would be interesting to know if the PC2A has been replaced with the updated CA2A. That would save you an additional $20 if you wanted the latest Cakewalk LA2A clone.

EDIT: jb101, I see we are on the same wavelength.

I have all of them and I bought them when CW made offers I couldn't refuse.

They are remarkable and very useful. The thing to notice is the PC2A or CA2A are being discussed an awful lot. They are being compared to the hardware units and other emulations. In either case the overall conclusion is very favorable.

My real love is the CL. I find I use it often because its simple and it works as it was intended to. I also bought the update for the PC2A. So I have a very high regard for them. I will not insult you in saying I would pay the full price for them because I don't know for sure that I would. However, I do believe they are worth the asking price and a lot more.

I am very pleased with all of the CW PC modules and I would recommend the extra cost ones with no reservations.

This does not include the Soft Tube modules because I have only the one that came with X1 Expanded. It is very good though. But I can't comment on modules I don't have.

I believe it says somewhere that the CA2A has replaced the PC2A and the latter is no longer available. These will go on sale at some point...probably right after I decide to buy it.

In the shop...It does still have the PC2A listed in the bundle. They probably should make this clear for people.
