Hard drive help

I bought a western digital high performance (black) 1 Tb
Gateway 8 gb quad core
My CPU has a 500gb. Factory.
Then I have a 250 in the front 3 slots.

Should I clone the Oem and use the 1tb for C drive, windows etc?
Then  use the 500 for audio files and projects.
And the 250 for? Whatever

I was using the extra drive for audio files and projects.

Or would the new 1tb be enough for both?

I would use the 500 for windows and the 1T for audio and projects files.

i would use the 500 for system os/sonar and vst plugins, exc.
then use the 1 TB for your sound library, songs if you wish(you can also keep songs on C:\ though.

i recomend this because the one TB are so large that to have your OS,sonar and other things on makes it harder for the HD to read multiple sectors all at once.

ive done the testing,it wasnt pretty.
you dont suffer randamly, you suffer in recall.
thats why alot of users choose to go SSD.

there just to large to be recalling everything at once.
i know for a fact other will disagree, but have they done the tests i have?

youve got nothing to lose because you already have a 500,a 1 tb and the 250.

my advice is to use the 500 for os/sonar and plug ins.

Focusrite Saffire 18I8 - Mackie Control
