Why does events' MIDI channel number have to change when 'Bounce To Clip' is applied?
I was recording and editing modulation data in the PRV today and realized that when I apply Bounce To Clip to a clip that contains events whose MIDI channel number is different from that of the MIDI track, the events' channel number turns to the track's MIDI channel number.
Well, my MIDI keyboard's MIDI channel is set to 1 (which I think is normal) and I recorded the modulation data on the sixth instrument (channel 6) of Kontakt. After recording several clips on the track and opened them in the PRV, I start editing the data in the lane (CC1MdltnChn1) in the Controller pane, and when I bounced one of the clips, all data in that clip disappeared from the lane. I wondered where the hell the data went, then I discovered they were moved to a new lane (CC1MdltnChn6), which I had to choose to display from the drop-down in the left corner.
This is pretty inconvenient, isn't it? Any reason why the channel has to change?
