    Now I see why it's taken them 5 years...the new one is 12.7MB, the old one was 1.9MB. 

    Much of it appears to have been completely rewritten. There are new sections, such as tips from some "name" engineers. Many sections have been trimmed - EQ section has 10 pages vs. 12 pages in the old version; multiband section reduced from 10 to 8 pages. Obviously, the Maximizer section has been expanded to include the two new auto-release algorithms that have been added since the original document.

    I don't see yet where the additional 11MB came from, though.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    I haven't gone through the new version. The trimmed sections you mentioned, does that mean you prefer the older version?
