Hi Mike - Thank you for the listen. Yes, this style was a departure for me. I just went with the idea and really didn't hold back. I believe in the lyrics and truly hope this song can bring comfort to others.

Not what I was expecting at all. This was really well done and had a great sensibility about it.
I agree with the vocal resonance...maybe just add the Multiband compressor and pull it down 3db on a band centered around 500hz.

Hi Mark - glad you liked the song. I can't hear Jackson Browne as two or you have mentioned but that's a great compliment because I have always loved his work. I bought GPO4 to learn for this song and have a long way to go but really enjoyed those new instruments.

This is a great tune! I like the melody and low and high climaxes. Everything a great song should be.
The lyrics though? Roll down a river? How are you going to do that?
Do you believe in Horus, Kreshna, Mythros, Dionysus and whoever else came before Jesus and who Jesus was plagiarised from?
I "believe" humanity will overcome it's shortcomings such as religion and this obsession with needing to possess material things and money. Ironicly all the things Jesus was supposed to have preached. So, am I going to hell?

Hi Janet! Thank you so much. I wrote it and layed the basic tracks in less 8 hours but I call that a day. Then I spent days and days fine tuning, embellishing, and then mixing. I work full time so I would get a mix done so that I could listen to it in my 30 minute commute to work.
The video took a Saturday morning. I was inspired to say the least! I have received so much positive feedback on this song and by so many here on the forum. This is such a good place to get good helpful advice.

Somehow, this feels the opposite of social-darwinism/dawkinism (to my ears) ... a very welcome relief from the Xmas mush that vexed my soul here a month ago.
You've certainly increased my pining for God's love on High!
PRICELESS LYRICS, vocal inflections, melodics, haunting-dynamics, and overall song ... this is the 'best of the best' songs (to my ears), my fav of all favs ... on the forum ... thus far (bar none).
