Links for Drum loops? Free? multi tracked?

Looking for (preferably free) links to drum multi tracks that I can bring in.
I would be fine with Midi of course, as it has the most potential for choices and changes once played thru a softsynth, but decent multitrack audio would work I'm sure.  Is this the point where i need to start buying collections of drum tracks just to find the few i like?

Or are there free sites someone knows about.
I've just spent a couple of hours looking and most are simply stereo/audio and most lean to rock and disco/techno and I'm more into funk/world/African/caribbean.(percussive).
I tried to use the demo for jamstix but couldn't make it work.

No idea about free stuff... at least none that's good. Groove Monkee (MIDI loops), Smart Loops (MIDI and audio loops), and Drums On Demand (audio loops) are three of the best places to find both stereo and multitrack drums. You can get discounts on all their products over on the DigiFreq Deals page...

Very UN-free, but it may be what you're looking for:

    http://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/drums/abbey-road-drummer-series/

I use Abbey Road Drummer 90% of the time now...

All the grooves are played by a great drummer, but, being midi, you can 100% customize them.  It's an incredibly smart system IMO.

    Peace,

    Ian

It's gonna take me all day going thru just the freebies. Thanks again.
It does seem as if the choices for drums are either build it yourself from scratch or spend at least as much time finding the right premade loop.
PS.. One of you code monkeys might consider a data based program that helps us find appropriate patterns.
I envision a little interactive form that filters out a selection of appropriate samples from our library.
A further refinement/option might include a net search.
