"Doodle venture" (a silly Philip-word perhaps) ... loose (un-contrived) drawing (singing) (ad)venture or something.  I suppose humming, whistling, vox skat, guitar skat, and loose singing could all be termed "doodling".  A doodle venture might be the next level up or something.  ('Just spit-balling here my friend)

*Sometimes* an inspired doodle (persona-vibe?) is more perfect to my ears than 40 pro-polished takes ... (tho for me its usually the opposite ... as my groanings are usually fake).

Oft, the 1st take is the freshest-sweetest.  Your whole song feels spontaneous like that, imho.  (I oft love when singing is simple-fresh and spontaneous ... *read* for the 1st time' ... even if my dyslectic words are word-salad-*rambling-man* ... not the Duane Allman variety :):):)

Nice lyrics Tim.  Nice simple coffee house production.  I spent many nights doing this kind of solo stuff in the early 70s.  I may start doing it again now that retirement is nigh.

Very nice Tim.

Great song, brilliantly performed.

Made me think of James Taylor.

You're definitely one of the most talented artists on the forum.

Excellent Tim.

Great tune Tim!
Nice performance, simple and to the point...and spot on.

Ok Philip. Thanks. Yea, I think it was a first take. I'm usually not good for anything beyond that.  I definately like doodles better than polished. That is, if the doodle is polished:)

Thanks Paulo.

Thanks Daryl. Yea, I've done a lot of solo gigs. Sure is a lot of work....

Thanks Blipp. Yea, I'm a JT fan.

Totally impressive, even with the hair.  LOL  Now, my hair is not for prime time video!  Great song and a beautiful, simple presentation.  I love the video tunes, it brings it closer somehow.  Just beautiful.

Hi Tim,

Beautiful tune and nice simple presentation. Nice to see the person behind all the amazing music.

I'm kinda jealous of bad hair days 'cause I don't have enough hair for one anymore

I'm late to the party.

Awesome song and performance.

It seems, to me, like you got all the important parts in the right order.

It's great to have a chance to cross paths with so many masters here at the songs forum.

Thanks for sharing.

best regards,
mike

raw and sweet, just plain out great. You have such a natural talent as a singer songwriter.  This would be really nice with a Scotty Campbell violin playing by your side  Dang yeah!!!!

Every word, every note, takes me on a journey - back to good times that wistful memory barely remembers. It's not just your voice, it's not just the perfection of the lyrics and music, it's the place you vividly create where we all join you and know that we too have all been there before. Pure magic.

You guys are too kind. Well not really.....

Thanks Tap, That's Very kind of you to say. It's not as 'natural' as you might think. At least for me. Just a lot of work.
Scotty is a great musician and is welcome anytime to add his magic.

I think that is one of the nicest touching comments I have ever read. I'm glad I took you there, wherever 'there' that may be. Thanks Malcomb.
