I wonder if there is a cover charge to attend,

    A 2 for 1 kinda deal
I need some things from the VA in Ft Wayne and could make the stop on the way, Sweetwaters just off the highway going in and they have been calling and emailing lately, must be a sign.   (Scratchin my head-LOL)

Bizarre.  I had a dream about him last night. Him and Don Dokken came over and we were hanging out in my garage tinkering with guitars.  Not a bad dream if I do say so myself!

Well they call it a "Workshop" but dont really go into any detail what the schedule will be.

Sounds more like a meet and greet bullchit session.  I guess more about ESP guit-fiddles.

Id be more curious to see what he is doing personally on the home recording side of his life if anything.  What hes using, how hes set-up, etc...

I'd love to turn this into a Sonar party and wouldn't mind that 5 minute drive.......
it's just the 16Hrs. attached to it that's kinda discouraging......

So did any of you watch this or go see it live? Being a Lynch fan since the Dokken era, I was very let down by his performance in this. I've actually not enjoyed his playing in years. He's always been a bit of a quirky player in his style, but this was just too quirky and nothing really "guitar god-like" to me. Not that he needed to play 1000 notes per second or anything, but there was 0 phrasing. It sounded like a bunch of quirky, half blues solos that didn't speak to me a little bit. Tone was a bit bassy and mid-rangey, the audio was so low I can't believe Sweetwater allowed it to be that way and well, though I never expect perfect live performances, this was nothing special and needed a lot more work and planning than they put into it.

I wound up skimming through it once he started talking about all the native indian/political/genocide stuff. I agree with his words and think it's awesome that he is involved with stuff like that while trying to make a difference...but you have to keep a balance of more music than your political views on the world. It's just a downer to me and his playing being nothing special REALLY brought me down.

My favorite is when Bono stopped in the middle of a concert and started slowly clapping his hands.  After a few he says "Every time I clap my hands, a child dies in Africa..."  Then some Irish guy near the front yells "SO STOP FOOKING DOING IT!!!"

(I'm not much of a fan of so-called "stars" using their performances to promote their personal political agendas - even if I may happen to agree or not.)
