not able to recall controller automation in synth rack...

I have just installed sonar 8.5 producer edition  after a system crash (along with all windows 7 64 bit system and all the other apps).

I have a problem with midi automation, because i'm not able to recall the controller automation i assign in the synth rack.
I normally load the know in the synth rack and assign them to a particular VSTi parameter. then i assign a MIDI controller to the synth rack knob. It works as it should, so this is OK.

BUT... if I close the synth and reopen it, the controller automation is not recalled!!! Sonar loads just the knobs but I cannot automate them with my midi controller and i must reassign everything everytime. it's really annoying and it was not supposed to work like this.

the flag "reacall assignable contoller" is set on in the synth rack window (the one that loads after i chose a VSTi synth) - i have the italian version so i dont' know the exact englsih name of this option, but it is turned ON, so the controllers should be recalled after i load the synth!

what should i do???
