globaly delete all automation / Answered

i have 3 songs that i want to re-mix(start over from scratch)
these 3 songs have a lot of automation.

is there a way to delete all automation globaly or do i need to go in to the event list
and delete it all there.

would love some advice on this as im basically looking for a "Reset" automation button   :)

To delete several or all envelopes
1.
Select the data that contains the envelopes you want to delete—you can select parts of tracks, one or more whole tracks, or all tracks.

2.
Do one of the following:

Use the Edit > Delete Special command to open the Delete dialog box.

Press CTRL+ALT+X or use the Edit > Cut Special command to open the Cut dialog box.

3.
Select Track/Bus Automation if it’s listed.

4.
Select Clip Automation if it’s listed.

5.
Click OK.

Edit|Select|All - Then hold <ctrl> and click on each buss label at the far left in the track view. (for some reason, select all doesn't seem to mean busses) You should now see the left most label for each track and buss highlighted.

Then...

Edit|Delete Special - Check *only* Track/Buss Automation, click on OK. I think that's what you want?

In the Track view...
1. Click in the Track pane background. 2. Ctrl+A to select all tracks.
3. Choose Edit > Delete Special.
4. Remove checkmarks from everything except Clip Automation and Track/Bus Automation. Click OK.
5. Click in the Bus pane background.
6. Ctrl+A to select all buses.
7. Choose Edit > Delete Special.
8. Remove checkmarks from everything except Track/Bus Automation. Click OK.

That should do it.

Hey John... the forum messed my formatting up too... It put step 2 on the same line as step 1. I guess I could fix it, but I don't feel like it.
