The future of music making

Native Instruments is advertsing with this teaser.

They say it is the futute of music making.
A futuristic interface that triggers cells containg loops and beats.
 
I believe we will soon leave this behind us.
In the nineties house was the new thing.
A decennium later hiphop,  dubstep, etc.
 
I believe the next musical period will be about (new) melody and harmony.

    They just posted this "teaser" on my newsfeed. A so-so beat on top of a bland generic techie computer animation. Why did they even bother? I didn't get a teaser of anything.

    Just watched the video from the link above and... there wasn't really anything there...  Just some bad bleeps and boops with bland video effects.  What was the point?  I expected to see a music interface.

    My guess is, NI version of Ableton Push 

    The Future of Music? With tools like these you may as well erase musician from the dictionary and replaced it with Mockicians. 

    And instead of the music sites saturated with tens of thousands of new uploads every day it will become even-more overly-saturated with mostly unexceptional instrumentals -- so much so that finding real musicianship skills + great 'songs' will be like finding a needle in a very large haystack all whilst being suspended upside down in fluididic space, actually it's already like that now! 

    Also, the sad part is, it will be hard for the general public to determine the difference between hard-working musicians with years of education who uses their brilliant musicianship skills and performance vs Mockicians. 

    BUT, at the end of the day 'great songs' require fantastic melodies, harmonies and lyrics and at least basic knowledge of music theory and sound engineering. 

    No doubt such tools from NI and Ableton will play a central role for the next generation of musicians mockicians.
