Hold and lock peaks in the Inspector meters?

Am I missing something here or is it not possible to hold & lock peaks in the Inspector meters?

It is possible. The setting is in the "Display" menu at the very bottom of the inspector. Module Options--->Meters

Doh! Thanks guys. Guess my eyes were too lazy to look all the way down there, and I keep forgetting about right clicking on things. Would be nice to see a global setting somewhere though.

I do wish there was an option to set all meters at the same time though rather than having to keep changing them in three different views.

On the plus side though their settings are remembered per screenset.

Sharke, have you tried this yet? I can't get the Peak Hold to work for Buses and Tracks, only for the Inspector. I even tried adjusting the hold times in preferences and it made no difference.

Sorry, never mind. When I rebooted Sonar they started working.

I didn't have to reboot to get the Inspector meters to adjust, I assumed the Bus and Track ones would be that way too.

    Thanks,

    Bub.

In the Track View Options menu there is a global setting for all the meters. Its Meter Options.

That's not what I meant John. I was referring to changing meters in Inspector, CV,and TV all in one go. AFAIK they are all independent, which is good sometimes but it would be nice to be able to set a "default" for all three sets at once. I've FR'd that at some point.

    Yes that's the word Charlie.

In fact I think meters need their own page within preferences so that multiple settings can be changed all at once. I think there was a thread about that a while ago.

I guess it might be a bit awkward to have a global meter setting yet still retaining the option to set them separately. I think the best thing would be just to have all of the different meter's settings on one page in the preferences window. That way you could just quickly tick the boxes in one go, instead of having to navigate to separate menus for each one.

EDIT: damn you FastBikerBoy! Should've put my burrito down and maybe I would have typed that faster and beaten you to it

I put in a feature request to streamline meter settings when X1 came out,  and again for X2. It's a royal pain, not to mention that once you do find out where to set up your meters, you have to go through every step for each parameter. The window for meter settings won't stay open.

It really should be a global setting, not a per project. I guess that's how the old paradigm translated into the new paradigm.
