Upgraded to X2, uninstalled X1, now missing plugins

Hi, I've been a Sonar user for a few years now and haven't had any issues along the way (at least not any I didn't cause myself.)  Now I just upgraded to X2, it seemed to be working fine for a few weeks, and I wanted to clear up some disk space so I uninstalled X1.  Next I tried to load up a project I originally mixed in X1 and Sonar can't locate several of the plugins (VX 64 Vocal Strip, Cakewalk Parametric EQ, and Cakewalk Amp Sim are the first few I noticed.)  Did I screw something up?  Is there something I can do other than re-download the installers for X2 and re-install?  I do know that when I installed X2 I didn't select the plugins that I new were already installed, but when I uninstalled X1 I told it to leave any shared files.  Any ideas would be much appreciated, and thanks in advance.

You can try to scan your VSTs, but if it doesn't find them, you'll have to reinstall them from the X2 installation program. Most people don't recommend removing earlier versions. It doesn't save you much disk space because most of the files are in shared folders.

Always select the plugins that come with the version you are installing. Often they upgrade those too. Also new versions of Sonar come with new plugins.

To reinstall the plugins from the X2 install just start the install and deselect all but the plugins. This will install only the plugins. You may want to install other things like Rapture and its libraries. There is also a patch for that.

    Welcome to the forum Matt.

As John mentioned, you can do a custom install to install just the components you need. Check out this video to see how it's done...
