CA-2A Upgrade from PC2A ProChannel Module - Difference?

Other than the obvious, that one is ProChannel and one is VST.  What is the difference?  The upgrade is cheap enough but is it needed at all?  I have not found a comparison on these.

    And VST.
I think that's all (the sound seems to be the same).

The VST was enough for me.
