Fit to Time wonky? (Solved)

It certainly seems wrong to me. I select a clip that is say, 5:03:30 long and then try to fit to time. The FTT box shows some much longer or shorter time as the original. Asking to fit to the time I want seems to produce random results. Thanks for any help HAH! I had it set to the wrong time format. IN fact rather annoyingly it sets itself like that all the time AFAICS.

I use "Fit To Time" almost daily and do not have any trouble with it now,  but I seem to remember it causing me grief.

Not sure what you are doing wrong, but basically you select an area that you want to change,  you will have a start point and an end point,  then pick a new end point.  I usually work in frames.

I do not think it selects clips to do this, you have to select beats and measures along the time line.

Make sure you have selected "Change using Tempo", or change midi event timings...depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

Thanks for the reply. I should have posted a new reply instead of editing. The wrong time format was showing. :O SONAR keeps tripping it back to default next session and it's a trap.
