MIDI help please

I'm trying to do something it was realy easy to do a long time ago with Cakewalk Pro-audio.  Maybe, we can do it still in the SONAR X1...But, I don't find where it is.

I want to be able to make the notes I'm writing in the staff view to sound an octave lower to where I wrote them.  Where is the place to go in the program to make the whole midi track to sound an octave lower?

I hope my question is clear.
TY

I’m looking at X2 but I believe this is the same in X1 click on the midi track number and in the inspector look for key+ adjust steps negative or positive.

    From the help file:
Key+ (Track Inspector only) The number of steps by which the notes in the track are transposed on playback (e.g., 12 to transpose up one octave)

I'm also working from X2, but I interpreted the question a little differently:

Edit -> Preferences -> Customization -> Display -> Base Octave for Pitches.

As implied, this is more of a display reference change, and won't transpose existing MIDI notes.

YES!!!  I got it Thanks alot rabeach.  It's so simple.  I was ready to copy my midi track and then add another one to transpose and mute the original.  But now with a clic it's done.
It work in a second.  I didn't look to the b rock solution but when I'll have more time I'll go to see that too.

Thank's alot!!  As usual, I appreciate the help we can find here in this forum!!
    Have a good night!!
