Create a Groove3 account and get a free pass to the vids...
Not sure if anyone has noticed this yet but I think Groove3 is giving away a free pass similar to what we got in the Content Club if you create a new account. Might be a chance for those who are still on X1 and didn't get a pass to check out some tuts. There are some very good Sonar tuts and tons of other stuff. http://www.groove3.com/str/gbox-free.html No I do not work for G3. Just been using up the pass I got from Cakewalk and saw it pop up in the categories. If I am mistaken my apologies. Cheers.

Yes. It works for me. Looks like they took out some videos in this offer, but plenty to check out. Thanks.

Cool. I don't think it will benefit me as I'm a week or so into my Content Club pass but anyone who hasn't yet should check this stuff out. It's helping me immensely. Anyway... back to my vids. Take care ya'll.

Hi, dub and DP. Just bumping this again and if I'm not around (doin' stuff right now) hopefully ya'll can get this back to the top without me. These are some super helpful vids. So far I've done: Mixing with X1 (much of it still applies to X2 and was extremely helpful and the example song is pretty cool) X2 Explained (it starts out with really basic stuff and I almost bailed but it gets into more in depth features as it moves along... he also works in a pretty unique way so it was interesting learning some different approaches to the stuff I already knew) Mix School 101 (this one wasn't really all that great IMO but I did pick up some stuff... just not my style of music) Mixing Rock (Absolutely fantastic even though it uses Pro Tools. I learned SOOOO freaking much watching this one. It was 7 hours but I spent an entire week absorbing it all.) Now I'm doing EQ Explained and plan on doing Compression Explained then probably take a look at the Mastering tuts. Hope you are all having a good day. Cheers.

One thing the videos gave me, apart from a lot of great information, was an appreciation of just how good X2 looks compared to the competition.
All of the videos not specifically about Sonar were done using other daws, so I got a good look at them.

Yeah, that's definitely an interesting aspect of them. It has cemented my dislike for Pro Tools. I find the way it implements Sends and Busses (or Aux's in PT) is rather... confusing and sloppy compared to the Sonar way. Obviously that's subjective though but I like things all neat and orgamazized.
