Select the track, use the "Bounce to Track(s)" function from the Tracks menu. In the "Bounce to Track(s)" dialog, set the "Source Category" to Tracks and "Channel Format" to "Split Mono"

My VS-20 (had it for two weeks and loving it!) records all my guitar, bass and vocal tracks as stereo tracks. After reading this thread, I discovered I can convert a CLIP from stereo to mono, after recording it.

In doing so, my wave form changes from two skinny little waves, to a fat, healthy looking wave. Sonically, there doesn't seem to be a change. Should I keep on converting my - naturally mono - signals from stereo to mono? Or, am I setting myself up for a future, sonic desaster?

If you set your track input to a mono source, the track will record in mono. This is how you should setup for recording mono instruments.

I tried that. Tried L and then R, but wasn't getting any sound so I just stuck with the stereo ...
