[Solved] What the nudge is going on?

When I try to nudge, it doesn't work, and a tiny sliver of a white line shows up in the clip area that cannot be removed/deleted. That tiny white sliver moves when I nudge even though the clip is highlighted.

What the nudge!!!???

Have you inadvertently entered "Enhanced mode"?

You can enter/exit that by pressing "0" on your number pad. The "tiny sliver of a white line" is one of the tell tales as well as splits happening nowhere near the now time and nudge not working.

Causes much confusion at first as I, and perhaps you have found out.

I have fat fingers, and am constantly PETRIFIED that some errant knuckle bump will launch a nuclear strike.  I do not use many of the key bindings, if I do functions repeatedly enough I will learn the ones for those functions, but the sheer number of them means that if my cat jumps on the desk I could end up spending hours trying to undo some changes.

I think my worst fear is that I will end up saving a project with some unknown key bindings having been executed, and then I will agonize over why things start working weirdly.

No worries - When it first happened to me I filed a bug report. I couldn't get split to work other than in one place regardless of where the nowtime was. I got the answer from here too, can't remember who from, but it certainly saved me from my prolonged state of confusion.

Can you nudge without crashing X2a?

I actually filled a problem report because this is one of the few reproducable crashes I discovered just after X2a came out ...
