Julian Bakery - sponge bread

I'm wondering how it does on computer monitors.

    That is pretty funny!  I've actually been to the Julian Bakery a few times and I can tell you I definitely didn't buy anything healthy - hehe...

    What weird idea to order bread in such big quantities, though. Doesn't it mean you're always eating old bread?

    I thought that too, but I guess with this bread it doesn't matter !

    Personally, I wouldn't eat anything that's been used as a sponge around my sink!

    I'm guessing they freeze it and defrost a loaf when needed.

    Yeah, it is kind of hard and cold, but I find it works better if you let it thaw out.

    Get a breadmaker, better, cheaper and less effort than going out to get bread. And it fills the house with that fresh bread smell.
