Auto Save

Do you use it and if so what are your settings?

Will it cause issues while recording or does it wait till you stop?

I'm so used to Ctrl/S all the time. I'm just curious as to how well it works for those using it.

I use Autosave with versioning enabled set to every 5 minutes, 20 changes with 4 versions. Saves are made only made when the transport is stopped. I use Ctrl-S frequently too (out of habit).

    Autosave every 5 minutes/30 changes.  Versioning = 5.

    And Ctrl-S often.

Generally every 5 minutes and 15 changes but I do adjust it in some projects.

Autosave won't save while the transport is running, it will save as soon as it stops if one is due.

It also doesn't overwrite the original project or affect it in any way, you can still Ctrl + S as often as you want. It will create a completely independent copy of the project.

Personally, I can't think of a reason not to use it.

I think the only reason I never set it up was out of fear that it would put too much strain on my already under-powered PC and cause crashes while recording or mixing.
But seeing as it waits till the transport is stopped before saving I think I shall now start using it.

Thanks for the settings suggestions. At least I have a starting point.
