Possibly dumb EQ question

Just wondering if anyone can tell me the typical corner frequencies used on a hardware console for the low and high shelves?

Also the frequencies used for the bass & treble knobs on a typical home stereo?

Thanks.

    On my ZED-R16 the HF Shelf corner is 12 kHz, LF 60 Hz. I have no idea if that's "typical" but I would imagine they are pretty good ball park figures.

    Tone controls on Home Stereo I have no idea.

    There is no typical. They vary by manufacturer.

      Many mixer Eq ´s use 80 Hz and 12 Khz.

    @Middleman: I understand there are variations between manufacturers, but I'm kind of looking for the average.

    @Pragi: Thanks!

    Varies even between models from the same manufacturer. High-end consoles typically have 3 to 5-position switches to select shelving frequencies. I've seen them as low as 27Hz. High shelves may go up to 15KHz. Look up the specs if you're looking to emulate a specific model.

    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Regarding 'console EQ' emulation ... THIS video has Ken Scott talking about the REDD console's EQ at Abbey Road.  Specifically he mentions DI'ing Lennon's guitar on Revolution and turning the Bass and Treble up all the way.  Very interesting discussion about console EQ and emulating in Plug ins.

    My Soundcraft console rolls off @ 100Hz in the low end, although it is a fairly gentle curve, I'm not sure about the high end
