I dunno if I would want Nectar Elements with no upgrade path to full Nectar.

I've been eyeing the Nectar product for a while but at $250 at various places it's an investment.

spending $129 only to find out ya might really need the full product would set ya back another $250 and that's way to steep for me.

I've had Nectar for a few years, to be honest, if I had to do it over, I would have left that one alone. I find the de-esser and reverb to be of freeware quality. The compressor is OK but not any better than the bundled sonitus one. Some of the presets are cool and sound OK without much tweaking and I liked it well enough when I had Sonar 7 and just used the presets.  IMO, it’s just not up to the same standards as Ozone. Also it is a major CPU consumer. I haven't tried it in X2 yet but it did not play nice with X1 here at all. I'm referring to the full version.  My quest for a great sounding voice strip stopped here SSL Vocalstrip IMO if you have X1 or X2, you already have better tools bundled

For reference: The full version has been - $159.20 AT AUDIODELUXE. You can make an offer too, so maybe get it even lower. You may be able to ask for the low price regardless of whatever price is on show.

It's usually $199 globally but is often at $169. Not sure how the pricing will go with the release of Elements but that's how it's been in the past.

Also Sound on Sound magazine said the upgrade to Necter would be 129 pounds.
