Is there a way to change the default MIDI input device?

I can't find any way to set the default MIDI input device for new tracks in SONAR X2. It always defaults to receiving MIDI data from all channels on all enabled devices.

So you know what I am trying to do, I have the following MIDI input devices enabled in Sonar:
  loopMIDI Port 1
  loopMIDI Port 2

I am using MIDI-OX to alter my keyboard's velocity curve, sending the transformed MIDI data to loopMIDI Port 1. I also send the unaltered velocity data to loopMIDI Port 2 along with some Joystick-to-MIDI data for controlling VSL. I usually only want a track to pull input from loopMIDI Port 1, channel 1 and nothing else. In the other DAW I use (Mixcraft 6), I have the option to select a default MIDI device for new tracks. In SONAR X2, there seems to be no such option, so I must manually set the input for every single track I create, which becomes quite annoying over time.

Is there any hope here, or does this option not exist in SONAR X2?

WTF! What happened to all my spacing? Everything just became one long, unreadable paragaph...

EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed it using HTML tags. Weird, I haven't had to do that in a while.

    Use Chrome instead of Firefox.

The default input for MIDI is None or Omni, as you said, it receives on all ports and channels. So the solution to your problem is to specify the input device and channel and it will only record what's on those.

Thanks for your reply, Dave. I already know how to change the MIDI input device on a per-track basis. What I wanted to know is if there is a way to set a specific MIDI input device as the default so I don't have to select it every... single... time...

BTW: Chrome works; thanks for the tip.
