I was down in Pt. St. Lucie yesterday. It did seem unseasonably warm... and sticky.

    I'm sticky right now.

That may not be due to Florida, however.

You live up here, how can you possibly love it?  Did you come from a dry hot area?  My dad lived in Texas as a child. He loved Oregon weather as well. It was a nice change for him. I've lived here 95% of my life.  I love Oregon in the summer but get tired of the grey real quick.

I love the south.  When i was in the Navy, I was stationed in Pascagoula Mississippi for a while.  People down there are an awesome breed. Very friendly.  Southern people rock.  At least the ones I met.

Born in San Diego, then moved to Orange County.  I was finally parolled from Kalifornia after 40 years.  It was usually too warm for me down there.

That's right Craig, we went metric here a few years ago with temperatures so Mike's getting almost -7, brrr.

It's quite cold here, about 2 or 3 degrees C at best - and I have to go to a funeral in an hour

If you get to -40 it doesn't matter.

    This is true.

We currently have flooding to the South of us in Devon & Cornwall, snow everywhere North of the M4

All we have is damp, cold & wind.

And that's nothing to do with last nights curry!

I wouldn't expect it to be damp and cold, rather damp and oozy warm.

Why is Florida weather so nuts?,

That's because the sun is getting closer and soon we're all going to shrivel up into red blobs and get sucked into a black hole and torn into trillions of little red jello jubes, then spat out the other end and digested by space dwelling slugs, they will dump their smelly stinking load on a planet.  New life will slowly develop out of all that horrible stinking muck.  And so the life cycle begins, again. Welcome to planet Earth.
