I dig. Sweet vocal delivery, reminds me of Kurt Cobain singing Cat Power (sorry for the comparison...just can't think of a better way to say it). The change into the chorus is excellent. Don't know if you're looking for suggestions, but I think if you take the low note out of the second verse chord, at least sometimes, it'll give the progression an even more minimalistic and stark feel. Would love to hear some percussion on the second verse, maybe a bass with a loping, awkward line, but not to make the song bigger, just to cement the starkness.

That's a nice clean recording.  Good song.  Sometimes simple is better, Lee.

thank gentlemen...appreciate you taking the time to listen and the kind words. And Jon, yeah, bass will be added and I'll play some "unplugged" style drums on this for the finished project. Thanks again! Lee

Lee, this is in regards to both of the songs you have on the forum.  As usual, the sparseness of your music makes your songs all the more intimate.  I've grown to like your style of music and your unique voice.  I no longer compare you to Dylan, but think you have your own thing going, which I find refreshing.  I  hope to hear your full collection of songs in the future, because that's another challenge in itself.  Well done.

    All the best,
    Lynn

    Hey Lynn,
These are the last of the demos, I promise!  Thanks for all of your kind words, very much appreciated.  I am now beginning the next phase of mixing and mastering and laying down drum tracks to the 15 songs I've chosen.  I will definitely share them when finished

Sounds like a good foundation, I was really missing some build up, or progression and development of a string section or something. It will be interesting to hear what you do with it.

Sounds good for guitar and vocal. I had trouble understanding the words. But it's 7 AM so it may be on my end.

Nice song Lee. Presenting a song like this leaves nothing to hide behind, and you carried it off well.
